Reuters reports that the Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Thursday ”the country’s economy will likely head for a recovery as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic gradually subsides.”

”Japan’s economy is picking up, although conditions remain severe due to the impact of the pandemic,” Kuroda said in a speech at a quarterly meeting of the BOJ’s regional branch managers.
