US stocks set for modest gains at the open with Nike set to soar

Futures higher
The S&P 500 gained 34 points yesterday in a turnaround after an early loss. Today, futures are tentatively higher, up 3.4 points with Nasdaq futures flat.
Shares of Nike are up more than 10% after a strong earnings report; and another sign of the strength of the US consumer.
