Asian equities cancel out brighter start
The mood is weighed down by the skid in tech, with the Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite also being down by over 1% in the closing stages of the session.
Elsewhere, S&P 500 futures are down 0.3%, Nasdaq futures down 1.0%, while Dow futures and Russell 2000 futures are pretty much flat; though gains have been erased.
