Japan plans to gradually lift overseas travel alerts next month in hopes that such a move will help with the removal of entry restrictions by Japanese travelers in other countries, according to a report by Nikkei.

The Japanese government is said to give priority to 10 countries and regions with low number of virus infections, including Australia, New Zealand, and Vietnam.

However, the decision on whether or not to accept travelers from Japan will ultimately be up to the respective governments themselves.

It looks like Japan is really trying to push forward with reopening international borders, following their latest move last week here.
