I\u2019m winning a War, BY A LOT, things are going very well, our Military
\nhas been amazing and, if you read the Fake News, like The Failing New
\nYork Times, the absolutely horrendous and disgusting Wall Street
\nJournal, or the now almost defunct, fortunately, Washington Post, you
\nwould actually think we are losing the War. The enemy is confused,
\nbecause they get these same Media \u201creports,\u201d and yet they realize their
\nNavy has been completely wiped out, their Air Force has gone onto darker
\n runways, they have no Anti Missile or Anti Airplane Equipment, their
\nformer leaders are mostly gone (This has been, in addition to everything
\n else, Regime Change!), and perhaps, most important of all, THE
\nBLOCKADE, which we will not take off until there is a \u201cDEAL,\u201d is
\nabsolutely destroying Iran. They are losing $500 Million Dollars a day,
\nan unsustainable number, even in the short run. The Anti-America Fake
\nNews Media is rooting for Iran to win, but it\u2019s not going to happen,
\nbecause I\u2019m in charge! Just like these unpatriotic people used every
\nounce of their limited strength to fight me in the Election, they
\ncontinue to do so with Iran. The result will be the same \u2014 It already
\nis! President DONALD J. TRUMP<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’m starting to get the sense that Trump is a guy who needs constant validation from the media and those around him and if he doesn’t get that, he gets angry and defensive.<\/p>\n

The problem here is that if he can’t spin a ‘win’ in this war, then he might implode and decide to raise the stakes with more bombs. No one wants that but it’s possible. Ultimately, no one knows what Iran and the US might agreed to but hopefully we find out Wednesday and markets can get back to pricing economic risks, rather than military ones.<\/p>\n

Update: A separate report says that Iran has made its participation in talks conditional on the US removing its naval blockade.<\/p>\n

Update 2: Trump is tweeting again and this makes me worry.<\/p>\n

The Iranian leadership has forced hundreds of Ships toward the United
\nStates, mostly Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to get their Oil \u2014 Thank
\nyou very much! President DONALD J. TRUMP<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He could spin a resumption of the war as a win for America because it would improve exports but it would be devestating for global growth and is a net negative for the US because of higher costs to consumers and businesses.<\/p>\n
