Since live streaming isn’t quite back yet (I’m still working on making that a reality again), I had the idea was take the capture card from the old streaming PC, connect it to an old Linux box, and let FFmpeg grab a screen capture every few minutes.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly that worked really well.<\/h3>\n

As a result, the \/tradingroom<\/a> page now includes a semi-live view of my trading workstation.
\nThe screenshot updates automatically and gives you a real glimpse of what I’m currently looking at throughout the trading day.<\/p>\n

The capture is only shown when cTrader is connected and has active positions or orders, and the blog has a draft for the cuirrent session.<\/p>\n

There is also an interesting side effect: you’ll now be able to see when I do something questionable, make a mistake, or generally engage in what can only be described as “stupid shit.” In a way, it adds a bit of transparency and oversight to the whole process\u2014which is probably a good thing.<\/p>\n
