For over a decade, IC Markets<\/a> and its entities like Raw Trading Ltd have been one of the more dependable names in retail forex and CFD brokerage. We’ve traded with them, rebated through them, and referred clients to them for years, and the relationship has stayed clean the entire time.<\/p>\n

Millions of dollars have moved through IC Markets accounts, and we cannot point to a single instance where a withdrawal, a dispute, or a technical issue didn’t get resolved quickly and correctly. When something does go wrong, and eventually something always does with any broker at scale, their account managers actually know the platforms, know the regulatory detail, and get it fixed instead of reading from a script.<\/p>\n

That reputation isn’t an accident. It’s built on execution: genuinely competitive spreads, platform speed that holds up during high-volatility events instead of freezing, and a multi-entity structure (separate regulated entities across jurisdictions including ASIC in Australia) that exists specifically so clients in different regions get proper regulatory coverage instead of being funneled into whichever entity is cheapest to run. IC Markets is, in our experience, still the go-to broker for anyone they’re able to accept, and the same trust extends to Raw Trading as the subsidary behind them.<\/p>\n

Which is exactly why IC Funded is a problem.<\/h2>\n

IC Funded<\/a>, a proprietary trading firm offering funded evaluation accounts, presents itself in a visual identity that sits unmistakably close to IC Markets: similar name, similar logo treatment, similar colour scheme, similar overall site design language. A trader landing on IC Funded’s site for the first time could reasonably assume it’s an IC Markets product, or at minimum an official IC Markets subsidiary, the same way Raw Trading is. It is neither.<\/p>\n

We asked both companies directly. IC Funded told an independent reviewer (ghosttraders.co<\/a>) that “Raw Trading Ltd. has a cooperative relationship with IC Funded; however, they are separate companies, each operating independently,” and separately that “in the legal and commercial field they are totally different companies, which have a commercial relationship.” When we asked IC Funded’s own support chat whether their challenges and funded accounts even run on IC Markets price feeds, the answer was a step further away from that “cooperative relationship” framing: “We do not use ICMarkets price feeds… the exact price feed provider is not specified in our rules.” They won’t confirm the branding connection extends to anything as basic as where the prices come from.<\/p>\n

We also asked IC Markets directly. The answer was consistent with what IC Funded told ghosttraders: separate companies. When we pushed further, pointing out that IC Markets has spent over a decade building a genuinely strong reputation and that IC Funded, by comparison, does not reflect that same standard, the response didn’t go much beyond “we’re not the same, we just have a similar logo.” No explanation for why the resemblance exists, and no apparent urgency about the confusion it creates.<\/p>\n

That confusion is the actual risk here. IC Funded shares the branding, the colour palette, and enough of the surface presentation to borrow IC Markets’ credibility by association, but shares none of the execution quality, none of the legal structure, and, by both companies’ own admission, none of the actual corporate relationship that would justify the resemblance. IC Funded is registered in Saint Lucia, at an address that doesn’t hold up to much scrutiny, in sharp contrast to IC Markets’ other entities, which are established, named, and regulated in jurisdictions people can actually verify. A firm with a thin, hard-to-verify legal footprint trading this close to a name built over a decade is not a good look for either side, but only one of them has a decade of reputation actually at stake.<\/p>\n

To be clear: this is not a claim that IC Markets or Raw Trading are involved in, responsible for, or benefiting from IC Funded’s conduct. Every conversation we’ve had with IC Markets points the other way.<\/strong> But when a brand that took ten years to build sits one letter away from a firm that took a fraction of that time to spin up a look-alike site, the burden of making the distinction obvious falls on someone, and right now neither company is doing much to carry it.<\/p>\n

If you’re a client of IC Markets or Raw Trading: nothing changes, that trust is earned and it stands. If you’re evaluating IC Funded because the branding made you assume it’s the same organisation: it isn’t<\/strong>, and you should treat it as its own, unrelated firm with its own, separately earned (or not yet earned) track record.
