We recently got the usual leaks before the monetary<br \/>\n        policy meeting signalling that the BoJ is going to hold interest rates steady in<br \/>\n        July. Those leaks didn\u2019t have any impact on the market as a hold was already<br \/>\n        widely expected. In fact, the market expects the next rate hike no earlier than<br \/>\n        December. <\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>The US-Iran crisis in the<br \/>\n        background has been weighing on risk sentiment keeping inflation risks skewed to<br \/>\n        the upside while negatively impacting global growth outlook.<\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>The Japanese officials<br \/>\n        threat to target speculators with stealth interventions has helped to slow down<br \/>\n        the depreciation, but that might not stop the yen from falling into new lows<br \/>\n        versus the US dollar if the current US-Iran situation drags on for much longer or<br \/>\n        even worsens. <\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 105%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDJPY TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 DAILY TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>On the daily chart, we can<br \/>\n        see that <a href=\"https:\/\/it.tradingview.com\/symbols\/USDJPY\/\" style=\"color: rgba(70, 120, 134, 1); text-decoration: underline\" rel=\"follow\">USDJPY<\/a>is slowly approaching the<br \/>\n            cycle high around the 162.85 level. We can expect the sellers to step in around<br \/>\n            the cycle high with a defined risk above it to position for a drop back into<br \/>\n            the 160.50 support. The buyers, on the other hand, will look for a break to<br \/>\n            increase the bullish bets into new highs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 105%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDJPY TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 4 HOUR TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>On the 4 hour chart, we can<br \/>\n        see the recent price action might have formed an ascending triangle and the<br \/>\n        series of higher lows suggests the bullish bias remains intact for now. The<br \/>\n        buyers will likely continue to lean on the trendline to keep pushing into new<br \/>\n        highs, while the sellers will look for a break to extend the pullback into the<br \/>\n        161.50 support next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 105%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDJPY TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 1 HOUR TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>On the 1 hour chart, there\u2019s<br \/>\n        not much we can add here as buyers will continue to have a better risk to<br \/>\n        reward setup around the trendline, while the sellers will either wait for the<br \/>\n        price to reach the cycle high or break below the trendline.
