There aren’t any major expiries to take note of on the day, with the full list seen below.<\/p>\n

The market mood as we look towards European trading later is more defensive with all eyes on the rout in tech shares. It is a bloodbath in Asia and while European indices may not be as tech heavy in focus, that will only serve to put all the attention on US stocks later in the day.<\/p>\n

S&P 500 futures are already down 0.3% with Nasdaq futures down 1.0% as the AI jitters look to permeate. And all this is setting the stage for a more nervous next few days, with big tech earnings on the agenda. As a reminder, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Apple are among the feature names on the earnings calendar this week. So, that will be the make or break for the overall market mood in the days ahead.<\/p>\n

In turn, that will also spill over to how major currencies might respond. As such, dollar sentiment will once again potentially be a key driver – not to mention alongside month-end flows.<\/p>\n

For today though, there is nothing on the expiries board to really influence proceedings. So, expect trading sentiment and the dollar to continue to be driven by other factors instead. The more pertinent will be the overall risk mood and US-Iran headlines.<\/p>\n

As such, expect price action today to revolve around that setting rather than any pre-fixed narrative from the expiries board and\/or technical setting.<\/p>\n

If anything else, continue to keep an eye out for USD\/JPY as it eyes a push towards 164 with intervention risks still in focus. However, the MOF may not respond to things just yet before the BOJ policy decision on Friday.<\/p>\n
