The S&amp;P index is near unchanged quality NASDAQ index is lower.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the closing levels of the indices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dow industrial average rose by 537.05 points 1.03% at 52752.28<\/li>\n<li>S&amp;P rose 15.60 or +0.21%\u00a0that 7428.77<\/li>\n<li>NASDAQ index fell -55.17 points or -0.22% at 24876.91<\/li>\n<li>Russell 2000 index rose 5.76 points or 0.20% at 2953.80<\/li>\n<li>NASDAQ 100 fell -276.08 points or -0.98% at\u00a027763.13. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although the NASDAQ index is lower on the day, it did erase a decline of -351.08 points at session lows. Chip and AI stocks still suffered as\u00a0investors continue to be squeezed out after the too good to be true gains seen the first 6 or so months of the trading year. Even so, stocks like SanDisk\u00a0which tumbled $180 or -14.02% today 363% on the year (closed 2025 at $237).<\/p>\n<p>Other highflyers with similar patterns include <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marvell lower by\u00a0 -7.8% today but still up 105% for the year<\/li>\n<li>Intel is lower by -5.56% today but still up 134.62% for the year<\/li>\n<li>AMD lower by -8.16% today, but still up 112% year<\/li>\n<li>Nebius lower by -9.8% today, but up 102.62% for the year <\/li>\n<li>Dell lower by -8% today, but up 211% for the year<\/li>\n<li>Micron lower by -8.85% today, but up 188% the year<\/li>\n<li>ARM\u00a0 Holdings lower by -8.11% today, but up 123.9% for the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That may be trouble down the road if the decline starts to pick up more steam in that sector.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                            This article was written by Greg Michalowski at investinglive.com.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Similarly to Monday&#8217;s trade, the Dow industrial average is closing softly higher.
