The weakness started when Qatari<br \/>\n        mediators reported that the language for a possible US-Iran agreement had been<br \/>\n        drafted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 15px\">The momentum then gathered pace when US Treasury Secretary Bessent<br \/>\n        confirmed that an Iran deal could have come as soon as yesterday and would have<br \/>\n        included the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 15px\">The US dollar losses started to get trimmed late yesterday probably because<br \/>\n    the anticipated timeline for the deal passed without<br \/>\n        an announcement. Nevertheless, the hopes for a deal will likely keep the<br \/>\n        greenback on the backfoot for now unless we get another escalation. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 15px\">The next major event will be the US CPI report next week. The data will be<br \/>\n        critical for the September FOMC decision and the Jackson Hole Symposium. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 15px\">A hot report will likely trigger a rally in the US dollar, with traders increasing<br \/>\n        rate hike bets. There\u2019s not much we can glean from this timeframe as the nearest key<br \/>\n            resistance stands around the 160.50 level. If the price gets there, we can<br \/>\n            expect the sellers to step in with a defined risk above the resistance to<br \/>\n            position for a drop back into the 155.00 handle. The buyers, on the other hand,<br \/>\n            will look for a break to increase the bullish bets into new highs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 105%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDJPY TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 4 HOUR TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>On the 4 hour chart, we<br \/>\n        have a minor resistance zone around the 158.50 level where the price got<br \/>\n        rejected from several times. That\u2019s where we can expect the sellers to step in<br \/>\n        with a defined risk above the resistance to position for a drop back into the<br \/>\n        155.00 level. The buyers, on the other hand, will look for a break to increase<br \/>\n        the bullish bets into the 160.50 resistance. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 105%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDJPY TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 1 HOUR TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p style='margin-right: 0; margin-left: 0; font-family: \"Times New Roman\", serif; font-size: 16px'>On the 1 hour chart, we<br \/>\n        have a minor support zone around the 157.20 level.
