The market interpreted that as him<br \/>\n        leaning against the recent easing in financial conditions and, therefore,<br \/>\n        retightened them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 20px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: 22px; background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 1); vertical-align: baseline; font-size: 15px\">This process has,<br \/>\n        of course, extended the corrections in the &#8220;debasement&#8221; trades, with<br \/>\n        the US dollar returning to pre-US Treasury announcement levels. The rate hike<br \/>\n        probabilities for the September meeting have also increased, with the market<br \/>\n        now seeing a 60% chance of a hike. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 20px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: 22px; background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 1); vertical-align: baseline; font-size: 15px\">Warsh has also reiterated that the Fed is focused solely on inflation now<br \/>\n        and mentioned that the progress has been slow. For this reason, I think only a<br \/>\n        soft US CPI report could bring the probabilities below 50% and deter the Fed<br \/>\n        from hiking at the upcoming meeting. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 20px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: 22px; background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 1); vertical-align: baseline; font-size: 15px\">If the<br \/>\n        probabilities stay at or above 50%, the Fed might be forced to hike regardless<br \/>\n        because failure to do so would send a dovish message. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 15px\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: normal; font-size: 15px\">INR:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">On the INR side, the<br \/>\n        currency sold off on Friday following the hawkish Fed Chair Warsh speech at<br \/>\n        Jackson Hole. Nevertheless, we saw a quick rebound today despite a jump in oil<br \/>\n        prices. This might have been the result of RBI\u2019s intervention since we haven\u2019t<br \/>\n        got any positive catalyst for the rupee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Therefore, we will<br \/>\n        likely see dip-buyers in the USD\/INR pair stepping in soon, as intervention<br \/>\n        gains get usually faded without a change in fundamentals. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">In the short-term,<br \/>\n        the INR will continue to be driven by oil prices, so the rangebound price<br \/>\n        action could persist for longer until the US and Iran find an agreement and the<br \/>\n        Strait of Hormuz is reopened. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">In the big<br \/>\n        picture, the Indian Rupee remains on a bearish structural trend against the US dollar,<br \/>\n        so dip-buyers will continue to look for opportunities around strong technical<br \/>\n        levels to keep pushing the USD\/INR pair into new highs. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDINR TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 DAILY TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">On the daily<br \/>\n        chart, we can see that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/USDINR\/?exchange=VANTAGE\" style=\"color: rgba(70, 120, 134, 1); text-decoration: underline\" rel=\"follow\">USDINR<\/a>is trading between the key 95.10 support and the 96.10 resistance.<br \/>\n            Market participants will continue to play the range by buying at support and<br \/>\n            selling at resistance until we get a breakout on either side.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDINR TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 4 HOUR TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">On the 4 hour<br \/>\n        chart, we got the pullback into the minor support zone around the 95.60 level.<br \/>\n        This is where we can expect the buyers to step in with a defined risk below the<br \/>\n        support to keep pushing into the resistance. The sellers, on the other hand,<br \/>\n        will look for a break lower to pile in for a drop back into the 95.10 support<br \/>\n        next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">USDINR TECHNICAL<br \/>\n        ANALYSIS \u2013 1 HOUR TIMEFRAME<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">On the 1 hour<br \/>\n        chart, there\u2019s not much we can add here, but there\u2019s a minor upward trendline adding<br \/>\n        confluence to the minor support around the 95.60 level. Again, the buyers will<br \/>\n        likely step in here to target a rally into the 96.10 resistance, while the<br \/>\n        sellers will look for a break lower to extend the drop into the 95.10 support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 11px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">UPCOMING CATALYSTS<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 8px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: 110%; font-size: 15px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/investinglive.com\/EconomicCalendar\" rel=\"follow\">Tomorrow<\/a>, we have the<br \/>\n        US ISM Manufacturing PMI and the US Job Openings data. On Wednesday, we get the<br \/>\n        US ADP report. On Thursday, we have Fed\u2019s Waller, the US Jobless Claims and the<br \/>\n        US ISM Services PMI. On Friday, we conclude the week with the US NFP report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 8px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: 110%; font-size: 15px\">UPDATE:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0 0 8px; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; line-height: 110%; font-size: 15px\">The RBI has likely intervened again as USD\/INR fell quickly below the August 25 low.
