The expiry level in itself is not anything major, with the size just decently relevant and not really tying to any technical significance either. But it is the only one that is keeping close by, with the standout €5.7 billion in expiries at 1.1300 quite some distance away.

That makes the expiries at 1.1150 the more relevant one to watch still, particularly if dollar continues to strengthen and EUR/USD drifts lower in the session ahead. That could see some choppier price action closer to the expiry level ahead of the cut.

Besides that, there is one for USD/JPY at the 158.00 level – less than 20 pips away from the spot price. That could provide some attraction or help keep price action more anchored around the figure level heading into the cut. That is of course assuming broader market developments do not overwhelm the options-related flows.

In the big picture, the bond market will continue to be a key driver of dollar sentiment in the day ahead. Treasury yields eased back late in US trading yesterday but have bounced up again in Asia trading today. 10-year yields remain near multi-decade highs at 5.31% with 30-year yields at 5.69% currently.

So if yields threaten another breakout, that could feed into a stronger dollar in European trading with there being little else on the economic calendar to really influence broader market sentiment.

For more information on how to use this data, you may refer to this post here and/or refer to the Q&A below.

This article was written by Justin Low at investinglive.com.

There are a couple of expiry levels to take note of on the day, as highlighted in bold below.
