● Misleading Firm: Beware

Blue Guardian — Starter Account

A genuinely good idea, buried under dishonest marketing.

The concept is great. The execution is not.
Most prop firms only offer trial accounts. Blue Guardian’s Starter gives you a real, fundable account you can profit from while you test the waters. On paper, that’s a genuinely strong selling point — arguably the best entry-level product in the industry.

What they don’t tell you

Single cycle, 5% profit cap

The key limitation of the Starter account isn’t disclosed anywhere on the main product page: it’s good for a single payout cycle only, and profit is capped at 5%.

The website talks freely about “cycles” and “payouts” throughout, creating the impression that the Starter participates in the same ongoing payout structure as their other accounts. It doesn’t. As far as we can find, this detail appears in only two places: the contract you sign (which differs from what’s shown on the website), and a brief mention buried in the FAQ.

The advertising problem

This is where it goes from “oversight” to “pattern”.

The Starter account’s real strengths — low entry cost, real funding, no evaluation phase — are genuine differentiators that could sell the product honestly. Instead, the most important constraint (single cycle, capped profit) is left out of the main pitch entirely.

It feels like someone in Operations had a great idea, and management decided to use it as a short-term revenue squeeze rather than the trust-building differentiator it could have been. The lack of transparency turns a genuinely good product into something that feels like a trap — not because the product itself is bad, but because the way it’s sold is dishonest.

Bottom line: The Starter account is a good product with bad advertising. If the limitations were stated clearly on the product page — “one cycle, 5% cap, here’s why it’s still worth it” — this would be a recommendation. Instead, the omission makes it impossible to recommend, because a firm that hides the basics of what you’re buying will hide other things too.

Note from SwingFish

We actually like the Starter concept. A low-cost real account with actual payouts is something no other firm offers at this price point. But we can’t recommend a product when the firm won’t honestly tell you what it is before you pay for it. Fix the product page, and this rating changes overnight.

Payout success ratings are based on verified trader reports, public reviews, and personal experiences where noted. Important: several firms maintain separate web and PDF terms that contain conflicting language — the PDF is the controlling document. Always read the full PDF terms before purchasing any account.
