Pres. Trump will make a sports announcement shortly. Axios reports:

• President Trump plans to announce Monday that Washington, D.C., will host the 2027 NFL Draft, likely on the National Mall.

• The announcement is expected to include NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Commanders owner Josh Harris at the White House.

The decision follows a recent plan to bring the Washington Commanders back to D.C. with a new domed stadium at the old RFK Stadium site.

The team currently plays in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and has been there for nearly 30 years.The new stadium project is part of a $3.7 billion redevelopment that includes:

• A 65,000-seat stadium

• 6,000 housing units

• An entertainment district
