South Korea delegation to visit US next week for further tariff negotiations

South Korea’s trade chief Ahn Duk-geun adds that he requested again for a waiver from US tariff measures at the APEC conference. But he’s not offering any word on how Greer took to that. There’s no precedent set just yet on a full exemption to US tariffs. And it would be a slippery slope in terms of setting up expectations if Trump were to allow even just one country to get that.

It’ll start the whole ordeal of “if X country can get an exemption, then why can’t we?”.
