Trump: I don’t like that oil prices have gone up

Trump was asked by a reporter about oil prices and said he didn’t like rising oil prices. I wouldn’t exactly take that as a signal but it’s certainly not bullish. WTI has almost recovered to flat today.

He also said:

• I’m not going to fire Powell
• Can’t get Powell to lower rates
• We’d like to get lower interest rates
