Shell in talks to acquire BP – report

Two UK energy giants are in talks to merge. The larger Shell is in ‘early stage talks’ to acquire BP in what would be one of the largest deals ever, according to the WSJ. BP had a market cap of about $80 billion before the report and has rallied 7.5% since.
