Can the major broader indices make the push to record closes?

With 45 minutes left in the trading day, shouting distance of record closes. For the S&P index its record close is that 6147.43. The current price is at 6138.25 after reaching a high today of 6144.66.

For the NASDAQ index, its record closing level is 20204.58 with the current price trading at 20159.75 after reaching a high 20182.51

For the trading year, the S&P index is now up 4.38%. For the NASDAQ index it is up nearly the same at 4.43%
