I can confirm now that there is indeed a news conference being given by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council in China at 3pm local time in Beijing.

Update on Chinese stocks:

• Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is up 3.7%
• Shanghai Composite is up 2%
