Its to review anti-competition law is the word.

The China NPC Standing Committee meeting refers to a session held by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) — the top legislative body in China.

  • It’s the permanent body of the National People’s Congress, which is China’s top legislature.

  • While the full NPC (with ~3,000 delegates) meets once a year in March, the Standing Committee meets every couple of months and carries out legislative duties the rest of the year.

  • It has around 170–180 members, including the NPC Chairman, Vice-Chairpersons, and Secretary-General.

The NPC Standing Committee:

  • Passes laws when the full NPC is not in session

  • Amends existing laws

  • Approves major administrative appointments, like ministers or central bank officials

  • Reviews international treaties

  • Oversees other state organs, like the State Council (cabinet), courts, and prosecutors
