Business confidence in the UK has climbed to its highest level in nine years:

Lloyds Bank’s Business Barometer 51% in June, strongest since November 2015

• economic optimism up to a 10-month high
• hiring intentions surged, 60% of businesses now expect to increase staffing levels over the next year
