US Commerce Sec. Lutnick in a Fox interview says:
- Steel and aluminum are needed for national security
- We need semi conductors, orders, pharmaceuticals, steel and aluminum in America.
- Trump will describe how to balance trade on April 2
- Says that the Mexico and UK have been pragmatic and thoughtful about tariffs. The EU and Canada has not
- Says that he will be speaking with EU counterparts today
Trump posted on Truth Social that if EU goes ahead with 50% tariffs on US spirits, he would impose a 200% tariff on wine, champagne and spirits.
